CHANGE TO ADMINISTRATIVE RULE: VERIFICATION OF DEPOSIT
Effective June 1, 2010 the Florida Real Estate Commission has amended the administrative rule regarding the time period a broker must make written request to the title company or attorney to provide written verification of receipt of the deposit. Previously brokers were required to make the inquiry within three days, however that time period is now ten days.

Florida Business and Labor leaders come together to oppose amendment; officially launch "No on 4" campaign
(Tallahassee, FL - January 26, 2010) Florida business, civic and labor leaders gathered in Tallahassee on Tuesday to hear the report of a top Florida economist showing that Amendment 4 — a proposed change to the state constitution — would lead to heavy job loss and higher costs for Floridians.

EDUCATION BENEFITS FOR MILITARY SPOUSES
Florida Realtors has just been approved as an official education provider as part of the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account Program. This program provides eligible military spouses up to $6,000 of financial assistance to help them pursue education, training, licenses, certificates and degrees. This program can be used to pay for GRI and continuing education programs for spouses of actively deployed military personnel. This program will be available to all associations starting on May 1st, so stay tuned for details.

Verify CE Credits With DBPR
Follow these instructions to view your Continuing Education Credits online through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
- Go to this Web site: http://www.myflorida.com/dbpr/ by clicking HERE.
- Click on DBPR Online Services at the upper left side of the page.
- Under User Services click on My Continuing Education.
- If this is your first time using the site, under Path 1, click on GO.
- If you have used the site before, under Path 2, click on GO.
- If you don't have the initial Personal Identification Number (PIN) sent to you from DBPR, please call 850.487.1395 for assistance.
Your initial PIN number should be the last four digits of your Social Security number or Federal Tax ID number. If neither of those numbers works, call the Customer Contact Center at 850.487.1395. The Customer Contact Center hours of operations are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. EST.

2050 FORM REPLACED
The Division of Business and Professional Regulation has just released
a whole set of new licensing forms.

Effective immediately, the 2050 Form, which is probably the most
often used form, will be replaced by the RE10 and RE11 forms. A side-by-side

for coverage through a new NAR Realtor Benefits partner program called Realtors
